NATIONAL RAILWAY MUSEUM
VISUAL IDENTITY

The National Railway Museum is part of The Science Museum Group and looked to inject new life into much-loved locomotives to build their brands to be adapted for marketing and merchandising needs.

The most famous locomotive in the world, the icon of steam, the Flying Scotsman, was already a renowned and admired brand, with a licensing programme that had been running successfully for many years. Licensed products included ale, whisky, collectables, jigsaws, memorabilia, preschool toys, DVDs, greeting cards, calendars and stationery.

It was therefore a privilege to be able to design and brand three more historic British locomotives, Rocket™, Mallard and the Duchess of Hamilton with the aim of licensing products in the very same way.
